🌐 This page has been translated for your convenience. If the translation and the English version differ, the English version governs.

This Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) follows the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template® (VPAT®) version 2.5 published by the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI). It documents how PollSlide conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA, the EU harmonised standard EN 301 549 (V3.2.1), and Revised Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act. It is intended for procurement teams at schools, universities, government bodies and enterprises. For a plain-language overview, see our Accessibility Statement.

Conformance terms

  • Supports — the functionality meets the criterion without known defects.
  • Partially Supports — some functionality meets the criterion; some does not.
  • Does Not Support — the majority of functionality does not meet the criterion.
  • Not Applicable — the criterion does not apply to the product.

Overall self-assessed level: Partially Supports WCAG 2.1 AA. The participant answer flow — the surface used by the widest and most diverse audience — is prioritised and closest to full conformance. Known gaps and target dates are listed at the end of this report.

Table 1 — WCAG 2.1 Level A

Success Criteria, Level A
CriteriaConformanceRemarks and explanations
1.1.1 Non-text Content APartially SupportsInteractive icons and the participant flow have text alternatives; some decorative and presenter-authored images rely on host-provided context.
1.2.1–1.2.3 Time-based Media ANot ApplicablePollSlide does not supply pre-recorded audio/video content; presenter-embedded media is user-authored and outside our control.
1.3.1 Info and Relationships APartially SupportsSemantic headings, labels and lists are used throughout the participant flow; some presenter-workspace controls use ARIA that is being expanded.
1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence ASupportsReading and focus order follow a logical single-column sequence on the answer page.
1.3.3 Sensory Characteristics ASupportsInstructions do not rely on shape or position alone; options are labelled A/B/C with text.
1.4.1 Use of Color ASupportsColour is not the only means of conveying state; text and icons accompany colour cues.
1.4.2 Audio Control ANot ApplicableNo auto-playing audio longer than 3 seconds.
2.1.1 Keyboard ASupportsThe join-and-answer flow (enter code, choose option, type answer, submit) is fully keyboard operable.
2.1.2 No Keyboard Trap ASupportsFocus can always move away from any component using the keyboard.
2.2.1 / 2.2.2 Timing, Pause/Stop/Hide ASupportsPollSlide imposes no answer time limit; any countdown is presenter-controlled. Animations respect reduced-motion.
2.3.1 Three Flashes ASupportsNo content flashes more than three times per second.
2.4.1–2.4.4 Navigation (bypass, title, focus order, link purpose) APartially SupportsPages have descriptive titles and logical focus order; skip-links are present on the participant flow and being extended to the workspace.
3.1.1 Language of Page ASupportslang is set; the participant experience is offered in eleven languages.
3.2.1 / 3.2.2 On Focus / On Input ASupportsNo unexpected context changes occur on focus or input.
3.3.1 / 3.3.2 Error Identification, Labels ASupportsForm fields are labelled; invalid entries (e.g. wrong join code) are described in text.
4.1.1 / 4.1.2 Parsing, Name/Role/Value APartially SupportsMarkup is valid; native controls expose name/role/value. Custom presenter controls have expanding ARIA coverage.

Known limitations & remediation roadmap

  • Presenter workspace ARIA: some drag-to-arrange and slide-editing controls in the presenter workspace have partial screen-reader coverage. Target: rolling improvements each release.
  • Secondary text contrast: a small set of muted/secondary labels are being raised to 4.5:1. Target: next accessibility pass.
  • Live-region announcements: extending programmatic announcements for live result updates. In progress.
  • Host-authored content: the accessibility of presenter-chosen images, colours and embedded media depends on the host; we provide guidance but cannot guarantee third-party content.

We review this report at least annually and whenever a significant feature ships. To request the latest signed report, an alternate format, or to report a specific barrier, contact help@pollslide.com — we aim to respond within 5 business days.
