PollSlide for classrooms

Every student answers. You see who has it.

Ask the class from your slides. Their phones are the clickers, and there is nothing to install. For secondary schools, universities and training rooms.

🏫 In the lesson

One question on the board, and an answer from every seat.

  1. Write your questions, or paste your notes and let Polly draft a set in seconds. Check them before the class sees them.
  2. Put the question on the board. Students scan the QR code, or type the code at pollslide.com/join.
  3. Everyone answers at once, on their own phone. The quiet ones answer too.
  4. Reveal the answer when you are ready, and see how the class split.
  5. Send the same deck as homework with one link, for students to answer in their own time.
  6. Turn it into a study set. Spaced repetition brings back the cards each student keeps missing.
Students who are still learning the language of the class read each question in their own. PollSlide works in 11 languages.

✅ Know who has it

Give a class its list of names once. After that, every answer belongs to a student.

Named lists

Give a group its list of people once. Every deck then records who answered, person by person.

Check it is really them

A PIN they choose, codes you hand out, or emailed codes.

Second attempts

Allow 2, 3 or 5 tries, and choose whether the best, the last or the first one counts.

Screen-leaving notice

For a graded quiz, you are told when someone switches away, and so are they.

Gradebook export

One row per person and one column per question, ready for Google Classroom and Canvas.

Progress over time

See whether someone is getting it across sessions, not just today.

Game modes

Speed, Streak, Survival and Wager change how points work. Same questions, new energy.

Safe on bad wifi

If a connection drops, the answer waits on the phone and sends itself when it can.

Questions teachers ask

Do students need an account or an app?

No. They scan the QR code and answer in their browser. With a named list, they pick their own name from it.

Does it work with Google Classroom and Canvas?

The gradebook export has one row per student and one column per question, ready to import into Google Classroom and Canvas.
