The same steps, in writing
- Open the question editor. Open your deck, click a question, then click “✏️ Edit this question”.
- Drag it to its new place. While you're editing, drag any question in the list on the left and drop it where you want it. A line shows where it will land.
- Or use “↑ Up” and “↓ Down”. They're at the bottom of the editor. Each click moves the question one place.
- Put your decks in your order too. In the sort menu above your decks, choose “My order”, then drag your decks. Your order is saved to your account. New decks appear at the top until you place them, and pinned decks stay at the top.
What stays the same
- QR codes and links still open the same question. That includes codes on your Keynote, PowerPoint and Google Slides slides, printed handouts and the Mac companion. You don't need to copy anything again.
- Answers stay with their question. Results, reports, leaderboards and exports are not affected.
- Live sessions carry on. If you move the question that is showing, your audience stays on it and keeps what they have chosen.
- PollSlide LIVE slides follow too. A PollSlide LIVE box on a PowerPoint slide finds its question in its new place by itself.
- Only the number changes. Questions are numbered by where they are now, so a question you move from 2nd to 5th shows as “Question 5”.
Questions
Why can't I drag while the results are showing?
While a question's live results are on screen, its buttons (such as “↺ Reset this question”) belong to that place in the list. To keep them pointing at the right question, drag in the editor: click “✏️ Edit this question” first.
My slide still says “Question 2”
Titles you typed on your own slides don't change. Update them if you want the numbers to match. The QR code on the slide still opens the right question.
I deleted a question — what happens to its QR code?
Anyone who scans it is told the question isn't available, then follows along with the next question you show. A PollSlide LIVE slide for it says “Question not found”: click the box, click “Change question” and choose another.
An old QR code opens the wrong question
A QR code made before 1 October 2026 opens whichever question was in its place the first time you signed in after that date. Copy that question's QR code again and replace the old one.
Dragging doesn't work on my device
Use “↑ Up” and “↓ Down” in the editor instead — they do the same thing.
